It was a pleasure to come across a Pink Bourbon grown outside of Colombia - something we believe will be a trend for other producing countries. Fazenda Guariroba, run by the Lamounier family, is pushing the boundaries of our expectations for Brazilian coffees. Using a diverse range of fermentation techniques, profiles from this farm are typically bold, floral and complex.
The farm is 268 hectares, of which 100 hectares are planted with coffee, porducing a total of 3000 bags per year. The farm is planted with 15 different varietals including Arara, Catucaf 785, Geisha, Topazio and Pink Bourbon.
The Lamounier's focus on quality has led to them placing 1st in the Cup of Excellence in 2016 and winning many other national and regional competitions. The farm is also certified Rainforest Alliance and Gabriel and Elisa are committed to expanding their sustainability goals on the coming years.
